Partner Vladimir Palamarciuc delivers presentation and moderates the panel at the DTFI24 FinTech Conference in Moldova. Vladimir presented about the regulatory aspects of the Distant Contracts on Financial Service, focusing on the comparison between European Union framework and legislative trends and alignment of the Moldovan legislation and practice to the EU standards, shaped around the complexity of market developments, improving consumer protection, creating level playing field across different financial institutions and jurisdictions. The panel moderated by Vladimir was dedicated to online crowdfunding platforms and the new piece of legislation implemented in this field in Moldova, open banking and open finance, crypto-assets, financial contracts regulations and trends in European Union and the comparative legal landscape in Moldova. The distinguished speakers of the panel were Vladimir Rusnac, Deputy President at Comisia Națională a Pieței Financiare (National Commission for Financial Markets); Alexander Hamels (Belgium), Lead Lawyer for Financial Services and Insurance at DLA Piper and Alexandru Stanescu (Romania), Fintech Lawyer and Partner at Lexters.
