Iulia Furtuna

Associate Iulia Furtuna has jointed the firm in 2007 and coordinates the firm's litigation practice, having acted for a variety of parties in a large spectrum of legal disputes. Iulia also specializes in employment, immigration and family law.

The April 2016 edition of Legal500 highly recommends associate Iulia Furtuna, which "leads on litigation and employment matters."

Iulia is a member of the HR Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in Moldova having contributed to the reform of relaxation of the Moldovan employment laws. During 2007-2011 Iulia has lectured Civil Law at the Moldova State University, Faculty of Law. She has also lectured employment and civil law on numerous occasions to business audiences and legal trainee groups.

Mariana Stratan

Associate Mariana Stratan is with the firm since 2006. She has been involved in the firm’s leading mandates with a focus on M&A/corporate, financing and secured transactions work. She assists clients from commercial and non-profit sectors on all aspects of their business and activities. Mariana has a wealth of practical experience in advising a significant portfolio of international clients on commercial and regulatory matters and in dealing with public authorities. Mariana also dedicates a good portion of her professional time to data protection and intellectual property issues. She is a certified Intellectual Property Counsel.

Mariana earned her Bachelor of Laws (2005) and LL.M. in Economic Law (2006) from Moldova State University, Faculty of Law. She received special training in advocacy teaching (2012) and pro bono legal aid (2014). Mariana lectured on commercial and IP issues to various organized young leaders groups in Moldova.

Fluent in English, Romanian, and Russian.

 

Alexander Savva

Alexander is an excellent regulatory lawyer, specializing in capital markets, corporate and investment law, with extensive and valuable advisory and regulatory experience.  Prior to joining the firm, Alexander headed the Commission of Advisors (2009-2011) and the Financial-Banking Centre (2008-2011) of the Moldovan Banking Association.  Since 2004, he is a member of the Council of Experts with the National Commission of Financial Market, where he also served as Counselor to the Chairman (2004-2008) and Head of the Regulatory Division (2001-2004). 

As part of his advisory projects funded by the World Bank and USAID, Alexander drafted the new law on capital markets (Financial Sector Reform Project, 2009-2010), numerous business and corporate regulations and legal assessments (Business Regulatory and Tax Administration Reform project, 2009-2011), as well as the corporate bonds rules (the Access to Credit Initiative project, 2008-2009).  Alexander also holds numerous banking certifications from the Agency of Transfer of Financial Technology in Luxembourg. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Capital Markets and Banking at the Academy of Economic Studies in Moldova.

 

Alexander Tuceac

Associate Alexander Tuceac specializes in civil, commercial, advertising, administrative, data protection and immigration law. He has joined the firm in 2009, after obtaining his LL.M. degree at the Odessa National Law Academy in Ukraine, Faculty of Civil and Economic Justice. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the same university.

Alexander is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree at the Moscow State University, Finance Law Faculty.

Fluent in English, Romanian and Russian.

 

Olga Saveliev

Associate Olga Saveliev has joined the firm in early 2010. She acted for various parties in a large variety of civil, commercial, shareholder, non-discrimination, property, administrative, employment, copyright, trademark infringement, real estate and other disputes. She also specializes in commercial and IP law, and is a certified Intellectual Property Counsel. Olga also does corporate advisory and transactional work. She received special training in human rights law at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg (2013). Olga lectured on trademark protection and other legal issues to various business groups in Moldova.

Ana Galus

Associate Ana Galus has joined the firm in 2011, following an internship at the Legal Division of the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, and employment with the Moldovan Ministry of Justice, where she worked as a public officer in court administration. Ana specializes in commercial, corporate and competition law, as well as financings and PPPs. Ana is involved in all competition law matters of the firm, advising on mergers and acquisitions, and providing representation in proceedings before the Competition Council on the subject of abuse of dominant position, anti-competitive behavior and unfair competition. Ana was also an active participant in the Moldovan competition law reform carried out during 2011-2013.

Ana holds an LL.M. degree in European Law from Leiden University (the Netherlands) and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Moldova State University, Faculty of Law. Since 2013 Ana holds a mediator license from the Mediation Council of Moldova and is an accredited commercial mediator with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution. Ana has lectured on legal issues to members of business associations and other organized groups.

Vladimir Palamarciuc

Associate Vladimir Palamarciuc is with the firm since 2011. He specializes in civil and commercial law, public procurement, litigation and insolvency proceedings.

Vladimir also serves as member of the Board of the Young Lawyers Association under the Moldovan Bar and was the first president of the organization (2012-2016). Vladimir is constantly involved in legal profession reforms, such as the restatement of the Professional Code of Ethics of Advocates (2015-2016). Vladimir was commissioned by the Moldovan Ministry of Justice to conduct a research study on admission to the Moldovan Bar and formulate reform recommendations (2014). In 2013 Vladimir has interned with the State Bar of New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM) under the Professional Fellows Program of the U.S. Department of State.

Since 2015 Vladimir serves as national expert (Info Point) for the Council of Europe Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals Program (HELP) and is HELP certified trainer for on-line courses. He obtained his LL.M and Bachelor of Laws degrees and since 2013 is Lecturer of Civil Law at the Moldovan State University, Faculty Law.

Certified in Insolvency Administration. Fluent in English, Romanian and Russian.

Vadim Taigorba

Associate Vadim Taigorba has joined the firm in 2012. He specializes in aviation law and secured financing, among others. Vadim is permanent member of legal teams assisting international lenders on numerous secured and unsecured financings in various sectors of the Moldovan economy. He is involved in the firm’s mandates on advising global technology leaders on Moldovan electronic communications/IT regulations. Vadim is a significant contributor to various litigation and pro-bono projects in various fields, including intellectual property, commercial contracts, etc.

Vadim earned his Bachelor of Laws degree (2012) and LL.M. degree in International Law (2014) from Moldova State University, Faculty of Law (2014).
