Turcan Cazac Lawyers Contribute as Speakers and Mentors to Moldova's First Legal Forum

Chisinau, Moldova - Moldova's first legal forum took place this past Saturday at Leogrand Convention Center and proved to be an immense success. Turcan Cazac law firm was well represented at the occasion, with four associates invited to share their expertise as speakers at the event.

Associate Ana Galus discussed the benefits of mediation services for divorce cases as part of the panel on the Legislation for Gender Equality. Mariana Stratan addressed the special guaranty in capital lending, as well as practical issues related to suretyship, pledges and mortgages, while Olga Saveliev reflected on the cessation of the legal transaction between an associate and an LLC. On the final panel of the event, Vladimir Palamarciuc talked about the the legal methods and the risks of debt recovery in insolvency proceedings.


Overall, the event counted in 20 speakers, 6 panels and over 500 professionals in the audience. The speakers participated on a pro bono basis, with the participation fees being allocated towards a part of the organizational expenses, a donation for an orphanage in Chisinau and sponsoring a student project at the Faculty of Law.

Of note is that associate Iulia Furtuna and managing partner Alexander Turcan provided extensive guidance on launching the conference to the young professional that put her mind towards making the event happen: specifically to Tatiana Iurco-Balan, as part of the National Mentorship Project for Women "Inspir-o".   "I am very grateful to Ms. Furtuna and Mr. Turcan - their input was decisive for the success of this project," remarked Tatiana.

The organizers are keen on making the legal forum a yearly tradition following this triumphant first run.
